Pacific Community Music School Instructor (Temporary Employee Pool)
Position Summary
Instructor for Pacific Community Music School. Provide instruction in the form of private and group lessons on the Stockton campus. Teach theory/musicianship courses and maintain an active studio throughout the year.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Music Performance
- One (1) year of teaching experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Three (3) years of documented teaching experience
- Experience and sensitivity in working with people of diverse backgrounds and cultures
- Demonstrated experience in advancing social justice, equity, and inclusion in a university setting
- Ability to engage and integrate culturally responsive practices and knowledge in their work
Physical Requirements
Extended periods of sitting and standing, bending and stooping, and occasional walking. Work is primarily performed in a standard classroom environment.
Hiring Range
$56.70 per hour; We consider factors such as, but not limited to, scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s qualifications, internal equity, as well as market and organizational considerations when extending an offer.
