Job Description

The first-level management oversees one or multiple sections of a department and is responsible for managing two or more professionals and support staff in their daily operations. Although they usually lack the power to hire, fire, or promote, their recommendations on these matters are valued. Their primary objective is to ensure the well-being of the employees they manage. In addition to this, they coordinate the business aspects of the department, including but not limited to strategic planning, project management, budgeting, oversight, and financial operations.

Minimum Education and Experience

Education: Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Work Experience: 6 years progressive work experience and 1 year of management experience.

  • Ability to perform gross motor functions with frequent fine motor movements.

Qualifications

MUSC Community Physicians (MCP) is an entity within the Medical University of South Carolina that provides healthcare to patients within the rural health network throughout the state of South Carolina. MCP has physician clinics in Columbia, Kershaw, Florence, Marion, Lancaster, Chester, Beaufort, Bluffton, and Orangeburg and is continuing to expand into new regions.
