About the Role

SureFlo Sewer and Drain Cleaning, a trusted provider of scheduled and emergency drain services in northwestern Pennsylvania, is seeking skilled professionals to operate and maintain advanced drain cleaning equipment, including the Flexi-Rooter® 100 from General Pipe Cleaners. This role involves handling a wide range of services such as snaking, hydro-jetting, camera inspection and location, line replacement, and more.

Responsibilities

• Operate high-speed, flexible-shaft drain cleaning machines like the Flexi-Rooter 100 to clear blockages in 2” to 4” pipes.
• Perform drain cleaning tasks including root removal, grease and sludge stoppages, and descaling of pipes.
• Use specialized cutting arrays (e.g., ClogChopper® cutters and carbide chain cutters) to grind through tough clogs and debris.
• Conduct simultaneous camera inspections to pinpoint and verify the resolution of blockages.
• Maintain and repair equipment, including field-repairable flexible shafts and interchangeable components.
• Collaborate with team members to deploy complementary equipment (e.g., hydro-jetting, heavy-duty cable machines) for complex stoppages.
• Transport, set up, and maneuver equipment efficiently at job sites, including navigating stairs, doors, and tight spaces.
• Ensure equipment is cleaned and maintained after each use to uphold reliability and performance.

Skills

• Proficiency in operating flexible-shaft and cable-based drain cleaning machines.
• Ability to interpret feedback from equipment (e.g., "feeling" stoppages through the cable) to enhance performance.
• Experience with sewer camera systems for real-time inspection and diagnostics.
• Knowledge of pipe descaling, milling, and preparation techniques for maintenance and rehab work.
• Familiarity with hydro-jetting and other complementary drain cleaning methods.
• Strong troubleshooting and field-repair skills for equipment maintenance.
• Physical ability to transport and maneuver compact, lightweight equipment in various environments.
