Job Summary
We are seeking a Physician Assistant to help with the clinical mission of the Treatment Resistant Mood Disorder clinic. This provider will work closely with the psychiatrists providing care in the clinic.
Responsibilities
- Oversight Of TMS Service Line - On site availability to support techs regarding patient care issues that arise during TMS care through the clinic day.
- Clinical Visits - Help support the provision of clinic follow up appointments for patients receiving procedural care through the clinic. These visits are a combination of History/Physical visits, mid-treatment evaluations, and end of treatment evaluations.
- Work directly with the Neuromodulation provider (attending psychiatrist) assigned to each patient.
- Attendance at team meetings and clinical rounds (weekly).
- Indirect Clinical Support - Help with communication requests from staff and patients regarding care through patient calls, EPIC in basket messages, emails, etc. Liaison with IP psychiatry teams regarding co-managed patients.
- Administrative Support - Help support the administrative needs of the clinic including support for care coordination team in reviewing FMLA/Work Release/etc. paperwork, Help with registration and management of patients in the REMS system for Esketamine, Support for utilization review requests where appropriate, Triage/screening of new clinic consultation referrals. Prior treatment history collection.
Qualifications
- Current licensure to practice as a Physician Assistant from the State of Utah.
- Current RQI Healthcare Provider eCredential through the University of Utah Health RQI system. The eCredential is to be obtained within 30 days of hire.
Preferred
- Certification in ACLS/BLS/NRP/ATLS may be required by your department or by privileging criteria.
Patient-Sensitive Position
