The Paint Booth Cleaning Team Lead is responsible for overseeing the daily activities of Paint Booth Cleaning Technicians while ensuring paint booths, paint systems, and surrounding work areas are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, direct, and support Paint Booth Cleaning Technicians on assigned shift.
  • Assign daily cleaning tasks and prioritize workloads based on production schedules.
  • Train new employees on cleaning procedures, safety practices, and standard work instructions.
  • Monitor employee performance and provide coaching to ensure expectations are met.
  • Promote a positive team environment focused on safety, quality, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Communicate shift priorities, issues, and updates to team members and leadership.
  • Ensure all paint booths, bake ovens, conveyors, paint rooms, and related equipment are cleaned according to established schedules.
  • Coordinate paint booth filter changes
  • Perform and assist with routine and deep-cleaning activities as required.
  • Inspect work areas to ensure cleanliness standards are consistently maintained.
  • Coordinate booth shutdown cleaning activities and special projects.
  • Ensure proper handling, storage, and disposal of paint waste, solvents, and cleaning materials.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 2+ years of manufacturing, industrial cleaning, paint line, or related experience.
  • Demonstrated leadership, mentoring, or team coordination experience.
  • Ability to read and follow safety procedures, work instructions, and schedules.
