About the role
The role of Admin Clerk Shift involves accepting and scheduling customer orders to ensure customer satisfaction, providing administrative support to personnel in the Transport Operations Department, and assisting with various administrative tasks.
Responsibilities
- Enter customer orders and scan/index documents as required.
- Schedule the pick-ups and deliveries of customer loads.
- Properly document orders in the computer system and update customer contact information.
- Maintain communications with customers regarding changes in pick-up and delivery schedules and potential service failures.
- Communicate customer problems, leads, and inquiries to the appropriate personnel.
- Maintain confidentiality of company information.
- Recommend and implement approved improvements.
- Update reports as required by the operations manager and COO.
- Aid the local dispatcher in updating the Tee Cards.
- Perform other tasks as assigned by the manager.
Qualifications
- Basic office clerical skills.
- Must be able to type at least 40 wpm.
- 1-2 years of clerical experience.
- Basic transportation/logistics experience.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to communicate, read, write, and speak English.
- Knowledge of Business Operating Systems, Internet software, Word Processing, and Spreadsheet software.
