About the role

A Cashier handles all carryout orders and guests in a professional and timely manner, ensuring smooth operations in the carryout area and supporting the overall restaurant workflow.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized workstation.
• Support and assist team members as needed.
• Maintain sanitary standards in accordance with store policies.
• Count cash drawer at the beginning and end of each shift.
• Greet guests, take food and beverage orders, and expedite orders when necessary.
• Ensure efficient flow of orders from waitstaff to the kitchen.
• Verify orders are prepared with the correct priority.
• Assist in the final preparation of dishes, ensuring accuracy, presentation, and temperature.
• Ring guest orders into the cash register or POS system.
• Process guest payments, including cash, credit, and debit card transactions.
• Answer phones and take phone orders.
• Interact with customers in a friendly and efficient manner.
• Clean equipment, work areas, and floors thoroughly and in a timely fashion.
• Complete shift tasks as assigned, following restaurant standards.
• Perform any additional duties assigned by the General Manager, Owner, or immediate supervisor.

Requirements

• Ability to perform simple math calculations and make change accurately.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to stoop and bend as needed.
• Ability to lift items weighing up to 30 pounds frequently.
