About the Program

The Operations Leadership Development Program (OLDP) is a three-year rotational program designed to develop highly motivated, entry-level individuals into future leaders. You’ll hit the ground running with challenging and rewarding assignments, technical and leadership training, advanced education, and mentorship opportunities.

As an OLDP participant, you will gain:

  • Experience: Three one-year rotations with increasing responsibility, including Supplier Partnerships, Manufacturing, and Program & Strategy. Rotations provide diverse experiences and exposure to strategic projects.
  • Flexibility: Input on 2nd and 3rd rotational assignments and geographic locations, aligned with business needs.
  • Education: Required completion of a Master’s degree (e.g., MBA, Mechanical Engineering) with robust tuition assistance from BAE Systems. Degree choice is flexible, provided it aligns with business needs.
  • Opportunity to Travel: Rotations primarily within the U.S., starting at major locations such as York, PA; Kingsport, TN; Louisville, KY; or Aiken, SC. Subsequent rotations may be at any sector location nationwide.
  • Mentorship: Each participant is paired with a mentor for guidance on rotations, career development, and off-program placement.
  • Personal Growth: Annual week-long Leadership Development Conference (LDC) with personalized leadership training, networking with executives, and a mix of in-person and virtual technical/leadership curricula.
