OxyChem is seeking a Vibration Analyst for their Pasadena Plant in Pasadena, TX.

Essential Job Duties

• Vibration data collection and analysis
• Timely reporting of vibration analysis findings and recommendations
• Provide troubleshooting support and solve equipment problems by evaluating vibration patterns and incorporating other process information such as pressures, temperatures, flows, sound, etc.
• Maintain vibration database
• Support the development of equipment maintenance strategies related to vibration analysis monitoring
• Repair shop acceptance testing as needed
• Provide call out coverage as needed
• Assist with failure analysis of rotating equipment to determine root causes of failure and help determine solutions to prevent recurrence
• Provide oversight and mentoring to less experienced Millwrights and Vibration Technicians

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• ISO Category II Certification from an accredited certification provider (Vibration Institute, Mobius, Technical Associates, etc)
• 2 or more years of vibration monitoring experience including solving machine problems using vibration analysis
• Able to read process flow diagrams, P&IDs, mechanical drawings and follow mechanical specifications
• Able to work overtime, weekends and holidays as needed to maintain a 24/7 operating plant
• Valid driver’s license required
• Able to read, speak, and write English
• Able to use Microsoft applications (such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
• Able to use a good working knowledge of SAP
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to work as part of a team

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to lift 40 lbs
• Climb ladders and stairs
• Walking, bending, stooping is required
• Must be able to wear personal protective equipment including the use of a respirator
• Must be able to respond to visual and audible alarms

Additional Desired Qualifications

• Good working knowledge of SAP
