The Plumber (IC Journeyman Plumber‑Pipefitter) position supports the Calcium Chloride Plant in Ludington, MI, providing pipefitting and plumbing service for the site.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, repair, and install piping (domestic water, process, steam and condensate, & waste) for the Ludington site.
• Execute relief valve, rupture disk, plumbing fixture, backflow preventer, and plastic lined pipe installation, maintenance, and repair.
• Demonstrate willingness to follow all safety‑related rules, practices, and procedures.
• Work within the site permitting system consistent with Section 106 of the Michigan State Plumbing Code.
• Maintain documentation of PSV’s and PRD’s for the Site with other crafts and departments to ensure compliance with OxyChem’s mechanical integrity programs.
• Read prints and specifications to perform the job.
• Utilize the maintenance work process to complete work.
• Provide daily job progress to the scheduler and routine feedback to the planner to ensure efficiency and continuous improvement.
• Learn, follow, and occasionally create and update applicable procedures to ensure jobs are completed safely, efficiently, and environmentally responsibly.
• Be responsible for knowledge and use of all area‑ and job‑specific safety equipment.
• Perform daily housekeeping activities to maintain a safe and environmentally sound workplace.
• Assist with training of new employees.
• Complete all training requirements as determined by site needs.
• Perform other non‑Pipefitter maintenance work as an Industrial Craftsman (IC) when trained and able to do so safely.
• Actively support and participate in programs to continuously improve plant operations through problem‑solving teams.
• Actively support plant and corporate HESS safety programs, objectives, and expectations.
