Oxford Workers' Compensation Associate Attorney

MGC is an industry-leading civil litigation firm with 31 years of excellence, spanning 22 offices across 12 states. We are seeking attorneys to join our Workers' Compensation team in Oxford, MS. Remote/hybrid options will be considered after training and integration with the team.

About the Role

Ideal candidates will have 1-5 years of practice experience. Our associates gain hands-on experience in all phases of civil litigation—from case inception to trial—as well as direct client contact. We offer competitive compensation with monthly bonus opportunities. Must be licensed to practice law in Mississippi or have pending Mississippi bar exam results.

Responsibilities

• Assess new files to establish action plans, budgets, and recommendations
• Identify pleading requirements and delegate tasks to paralegals as needed
• Prepare discovery responses and manage document production
• Attend depositions, hearings, and other discovery events, providing thorough reports
• Negotiate settlements, secure authority, and prepare for trial as necessary
• Maintain regular communication with paralegals and legal assistants
