About the role

We are seeking a Renovation Manager to oversee the renovation process of our portfolio of affordable single-family homes. This role is crucial as you will be the gatekeeper ensuring that each home meets SFR3's standards before it is considered complete.

Responsibilities

  • Supportive yet fair decision-making regarding renovations
  • Coaching and motivating the team to ensure they understand the importance of their work and develop a sense of pride in their contributions
  • Leveraging your physical presence to monitor the renovation process and ensure quality control
  • Estimating and scoping renovations with precision
  • Maintaining budget adherence and ensuring projects are completed within allocated funds
  • Ensuring that sale/appraisal values, monthly rents, and move-in experiences meet our standards
  • Managing multiple projects simultaneously to increase volume
  • Enabling an ownership mindset across all aspects of the job, prioritizing action and motivation

Requirements

  • At least 5-10 years of renovation/construction experience, including knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems
  • Strong understanding of local and national building/property management codes
  • Excellent communication skills, able to coach and hold team members accountable
  • Comfortable using technology to manage tasks and enhance productivity

Qualifications

  • Real estate or home inspection experience is a plus
