Owner Operator-OTR

Clean Harbors is seeking an OTR Class A Dry Van Owner Operator for routes originating in Salt Lake City, UT. This position covers multiple locations in the Western US, averaging 2,900–3,000+ miles per week.

About the role

• Average annual earnings: $200,000–$250,000
• Bi-weekly home time
• Compensation package includes all on-duty time paid via hourly demurrage rates, non-asset hourly rates, and/or mileage pay

Responsibilities

• Ensures Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times
• Operates tractor-trailer units
• Adheres to weight limits and ensures proper utilization of the units
• Ensures proper loading and unloading of hazardous waste/non-hazardous waste; properly secures the loads
• Placards vehicle in accordance with Company and Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements/regulations
• Maintains daily logs, invoicing, time sheets, dispatch and trip reports, as well as vehicle inspection reports

Requirements

• Class A CDL with HAZMAT and Tanker endorsements
• Minimum 12 months of Class A driving experience
• Ability to effectively use required technology such as mobile applications and computer software
