About the role
The Children's Home of Poughkeepsie has been caring for children throughout the Hudson Valley for over 175 years! We strive to empower children and families to achieve optimal health and well being. We are currently seeking an Overnight Youth Counselor to work in our Empower Program.
The Overnight Youth Counselor is responsible for the awake supervision of the children, meeting children's night-time needs, breakfast and morning routines, safety and security of the children and building, light housekeeping duties and the general welfare of persons and property during night hours.
Responsibilities
Schedule: Sunday-Tuesday, and every other Saturday 10pm-8am, Wednesday-Friday OFF

Qualifications
MINIMUM Qualifications:
- High School Degree or equivalent
- Valid New York State Driver's License with good driving record as determined by the Agency
- Associates or Bachelor's degree
- Previous experience working with youth in a residential setting
