Bay State Veterinary Emergency and Specialty Services (BSVESS) is seeking an Overnight Veterinary Technician Floor Lead to join our leadership team. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled technician who is ready to take the next step in their career by serving as a clinical resource, mentor, and operational leader while continuing to work hands-on with patients. As the Overnight Floor Lead, you will partner closely with Technician Managers to support hospital operations, promote exceptional patient care, coach team members, and help create a positive and collaborative culture throughout the hospital. What You'll Do As a working leader, you will: Serve as the primary overnight resource for technicians, assistants, and client service representativesLead by example and set the standard for professionalism, teamwork, and patient careProvide real-time coaching, mentorship, and support to team members during shiftsAssist with patient flow, case prioritization, and hospital workflowSupport staff with advanced technical procedures and critical patient careHelp onboard and train new team membersMonitor patient care standards and hospital protocols to ensure consistency and qualityCollaborate with leadership to identify training opportunities and operational improvementsHelp maintain a safe, organized, and efficient work environmentEscalate significant operational, staffing, patient care, or client service concerns when appropriate What We're Looking For Certified Veterinary Technician preferredMinimum of 2 years of emergency, specialty, or critical care veterinary experience preferredStrong technical and clinical veterinary skillsNatural leadership abilities with a passion for mentoring and developing othersExcellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skillsAbility to remain calm, focused, and effective in high-pressure situationsCommitment to delivering exceptional patient care and client service Benefits and Perks: Employer paid medical insurance premiums, AND paid deductible for employees!Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance options401K with company MatchComplimentary Life Insurance $25,000Personal Pet DiscountsPTO and Holiday payCompany Sponsored Employee Assistance Program (EAP)Veterinary Social Worker on-siteAmple paid CE opportunities on-site, as well as CE stipend for Certified TechniciansCompetitive pay commensurate with experience:Non-credentialed Techs: $22 to $29Credentialed Techs: $24 to $31VTS: $31 to $35Plus $5/hour shift differential after 8pm for 2nd/3rd shift Why Join BSVESS?
