About the role
Cape Cod Veterinary Specialists (CCVS) is seeking Overnight Surgery Ward Nurses to join their teams in Buzzards Bay, MA. This role offers an opportunity to gain experience in post-operative care, work closely with surgical teams, and contribute to high-quality care in a supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and document patient vitals and comfort levels
- Administer oral and IV medications as directed by the surgical team
- Assist post-operative patients with mobility and comfort care
- Check catheter sites and bandages for cleanliness and security
- Communicate changes in patient status to the surgical team
- Maintain a clean and organized ward, including laundry and dishes
- Assist with patient restraint for radiographs as needed
