About the role
The Retail Associate plays a crucial role in ensuring customers have a positive shopping experience. They greet customers, assist with merchandise, answer questions, and maintain a clean and organized store.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a safe and secure shopping environment
- Treat customers and associates with respect and courtesy
- Assist customers with merchandise and answer questions politely and knowledgeably
- Perform cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, and disinfecting high-touch areas
- Manage inventory and follow loss prevention protocols
- Follow all policies and procedures concerning cash, checks, and refunds
- Maximize productivity by executing store best practices
Qualifications and Special Skills
- Effective communication with customers, associates, and leadership
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations
- Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, kneel, climb, carry, reach, and stoop
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally
- Ability to use janitorial equipment and supplies
