Overnight Stock Associate
About the role
The Overnight Stock Associate plays a crucial role in ensuring a positive shopping experience for customers. This position requires understanding safety protocols, treating customers and colleagues with respect, and performing various tasks to support the store’s operations.
Responsibilities
- Understands and practices safety measures.
- Maintains a safe and secure shopping environment.
- Treats customers and associates respectfully and courteously.
- Assists customers with merchandise and answers questions politely and knowledgeably.
- Greets customers by making eye contact, smiling, and saying “hello” and “thank you”.
- Responds promptly and efficiently to customer service calls.
- Represents the company brand consistently.
- Performs cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and replenishing supplies.
- Maintains a professional appearance and adheres to the company’s dress code.
- Executes daily sizing and recovery tasks to keep the store neat and well-maintained.
- Expedites new merchandise receipts and merchandises items according to company best practices.
- Understands and follows loss prevention policies and procedures.
- Demonstrates integrity and honesty in all interactions.
- Fulfills Mark-Out-of-Stock policies and processes.
- Handles cash, checks, charge cards, and refunds accurately.
- Manages work processes effectively.
- Communicates effectively with customers, associates, and leadership.
- Ensures accountability and execution of tasks.
Qualifications and Special Skills Required
- Effective communication with customers, associates, and leadership.
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
Physical Requirements/ADA
- Ability to use all store equipment, including point of sale terminals, registers, and computers.
- Ability to stand, walk, and move around the store for up to 100% of working time.
- Ability to bend, squat, kneel, climb, push, pull, and lift up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to use janitorial equipment and supplies.
- Associates working stockroom shifts: ability to push, pull, and lift up to 20 pounds.

Compensation
The base pay range for this role is $17.13 - $17.63. The base pay range is dependent on factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, qualifications, relevant education, certifications, seniority, and location. The range listed is just one component of the total compensation package for employees. Other rewards vary by position and location.
