About the role
The Retail Associate ensures our customers have a positive shopping experience by maintaining a welcoming, safe, and well-organized store environment. Associates perform a variety of tasks across all store areas, including customer service, merchandising, cleaning, and operational duties.
Responsibilities
- Prioritize safety by practicing safe behaviors and maintaining a secure shopping environment for customers and associates.
- Treat all customers and associates with respect, courtesy, and professionalism; greet customers warmly and assist them promptly.
- Provide register assistance, answer customer questions, and handle issues courteously, escalating to leadership when needed.
- Maintain store cleanliness by sweeping, mopping, dusting, replenishing restroom supplies, and disinfecting high-touch areas.
- Adhere to the company dress code and maintain a professional appearance at all times.
- Perform daily sizing and recovery tasks to ensure a neat, organized, and efficiently merchandised store.
- Expedite newly received merchandise to the sales floor, merchandising items according to company standards and brand guidelines.
- Understand and follow loss prevention policies, including the identification and proper processing of Mark-Out-of-Stock (MOS) merchandise.
- Handle cash, check, charge card, and refund transactions accurately and securely, following all company procedures.
- Demonstrate a sense of urgency and maximize productivity by executing store best practices efficiently.
Requirements
- Effectively communicate with customers, associates, and leadership in a friendly, respectful, and cooperative manner.
- Perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail environments.
- Ability to stand, walk, and move around the store for up to 100% of working time.
- Regularly bend, squat, kneel, climb, carry, reach, and stoop; occasionally push, pull, and lift more than 25 pounds.
- Use store equipment, including PDTs, registers, PCs, janitorial tools, rolling racks, and ladders.
- For stockroom shifts: ability to regularly push, pull, and lift more than 20 pounds.

Pay
The base pay range for this role is $18.00 - $18.50 per hour, dependent on factors such as experience, skills, qualifications, and location.
