Overnight Security Officer

About the role

We help make your world a safer place. Securitas is currently hiring Security Officers for a professional industrial, manufacturing, and gatehouse-style security environment in Newington, NH.

Responsibilities

• Access Control and Gate Duties: Access control and gate duties including verifying credentials, checking identification, maintaining visitor logs, and ensuring proper entry procedures are followed.
• Patrols and Site Monitoring: Conduct routine foot and/or vehicle patrols of assigned areas, including entrances, gates, parking areas, warehouses, production areas, exterior areas, and other parts of the property.
• Visitor, Contractor, and Vehicle Activity: Interact professionally with employees, visitors, vendors, contractors, drivers, and site personnel. Assist with directing authorized individuals and reporting unusual activity.
• Camera and Alarm Monitoring: Monitor CCTV, alarms, and other security systems as required. Respond to alerts according to site procedures and escalate concerns when needed.
• Incident Response: Respond to alarms, emergencies, safety concerns, access issues, and other incidents in a calm and professional manner. Communicate clearly with site personnel, emergency responders, and Securitas management when appropriate.
• Reporting and Documentation: Maintain accurate daily activity logs, incident reports, access records, and other required documentation.
• Post Orders and Safety Procedures: Follow all site-specific post orders, emergency procedures, safety policies, and client expectations. Officers must be comfortable working within established rules and procedures.
• Professional Presence: Represent Securitas and the client with professionalism, courtesy, and confidence. Officers are often the first point of contact for visitors, contractors, drivers, and employees entering the site.

Qualifications

• Previous security experience is preferred, but not required.
• Previous customer service, military, law enforcement, corrections, warehouse, manufacturing, logistics, transportation, dispatch, retail, or other roles requiring reliability and attention to detail is a plus.
• Strong communication, observation, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to follow detailed post orders and site procedures.
• Ability to complete accurate reports and daily activity logs.
• Valid NH Security Guard license/guard card preferred, but not required.
• Candidates must be willing and able to complete the NH licensing process, which may include application paperwork, background review, and a trip to Concord, NH.

Pay

• Newington, NH – Security Officer Schedule: Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday, 12:00 AM–8:00 AM: $20.00 / hour, 32 hours per week
• Newington, NH – Security Officer Schedule: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, 12:00 AM–8:00 AM: $20.00 / hour, 40 hours per week

Schedule
