About the role

The Overnight Security Attendant position at The Renaissance Minneapolis Hotel, The Depot is dedicated to ensuring the safety and security of guests and hotel property. This role involves providing courteous and professional assistance to guests, responding promptly to incidents, and maintaining a clean, secure environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide direction and assistance to guests in a courteous and professional manner.
• Follow CSM high standards of quality to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Shift schedule: Thursday - Sunday
• Anticipate and respond to guest incidents and security situations in a timely and professional manner.
• Observe and comply with all hotel policies and procedures relating to guest safety and security.
• Work as a team player in meeting guests' needs and contribute to other departments as necessary.
• Understand and follow CSM guest service recovery program.
• Responsible for proper use of all equipment and supplies and adhere to cost controls to reduce expenses and waste.
• Conduct routine inspections of hotel property and grounds to ensure safety and security standards are met.
• Identify and take proactive measures in loss prevention activities.
• Ensure a clean and safe work environment and follow all CSM procedures for guest/employee incidents.
• Complete all safety and security documentation and necessary follow-up.
• Thoroughly knowledgeable of hotel emergency procedures.
• Plan, organize, and prioritize work duties to produce the required volume of work.
• Adhere to CSM attendance policy, grooming and appearance standards, and general work rules and department procedures.
• Attend all required department and hotel meetings.

Requirements

Prior security experience required. Attention to detail, customer focus, and the ability to perform duties in a fast-paced environment are essential. Physical requirements include the ability to lift, push, and pull up to 60+ pounds on an occasional basis throughout the shift.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.

Skills

Thorough knowledge of hotel emergency procedures and the ability to perform job duties in a fast-paced environment are key skills for this role.
