Our Overnight Security staff ensures the safety of guests, staff, and property by patrolling the premises, monitoring surveillance systems, and enforcing access control. They handle emergencies, respond to security breaches, and address guest disturbances, maintaining a visible presence to deter crime as a seasonal full-time employee.

Responsibilities

• Patrol the premises to ensure safety of guests, staff, and property
• Monitor surveillance systems and enforce access control
• Handle emergencies and respond to security breaches
• Address guest disturbances and maintain a visible presence to deter crime
• Operate within the guidelines of the Basin Harbor Safety programs
• Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with peers and staff

Requirements

• Preference given to candidates with security experience
• Strong verbal and written English communication skills
• Critical evaluation skills and a commitment to ethical practice and legal compliance
• Valid Driver’s License
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team
• Resourcefulness and “outside-the-box” thinking
• Must be willing and able to pass a background check
• Must be able to work holidays, weekends, and overtime as needed

Physical Demands and Work Environment

• Stamina to work up to 10+ hours involving sitting, standing, and walking
• Ability to bend, stoop, lift up to 25 lbs, reach overhead, and perform repetitive motion
• May involve walking between venues and climbing stairs between floors
