About the Role

We are seeking a well-rounded and seasoned Overnight Safety & Security Supervisor to join our team. Reporting to the Director of Security, you will manage and provide professional, courteous service to ensure the safety and security of all guests, members, associates, and visitors while overseeing the resort’s assets. You will supervise security officers, evaluate policies and procedures, and ensure compliance with resort standards.

Responsibilities

• Conduct pre-shift briefings and delegate duties to ensure proper compliance.
• Select alternative courses of action quickly and accurately in dynamic situations.
• Interact professionally with management, officers, and local authorities, providing constructive suggestions and answering questions confidently.
• Comply with all standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient resort operations.
• Adhere to office policies set forth by security management.
• Assist other resort areas as needed without compromising security functions.
• Maintain continual surveillance of resort areas, bordering property, and CCTV systems.
• Complete security activity logs, documenting all shift activity.
• Respond to incidents in a timely manner and ensure accurate incident reports.
• Defuse threats or violence within the resort.
• Check packages, purses, and identification of associates and suspicious persons; escort unwarranted individuals off the property.
• Conduct rounds throughout the resort, focusing on unsecure areas and documenting discrepancies.
• Operate the resort’s computerized locking system.
• Process lost and found items according to established procedures.
• Train new hires on company and department policies and procedures.
• Perform other reasonable duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

• Professional demeanor appropriate for a luxury environment.
• Proven ability to handle multiple tasks in an ever-changing environment.
• Analyze information from several sources and make rapid, accurate decisions.
• First Aid and CPR certifications preferred.
• Knowledge of MS Shift, Key Watcher, or SALTO systems is a plus.
• At least 1 year of progressive experience in a luxury resort or equivalent setting.
• Able to communicate effectively in English; a second language is a plus.
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including holidays, weekends, and overnight shifts.
• Experience using computers and software programs such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to work in various weather conditions and stand or walk for prolonged periods.
