About the Role

We are seeking a well-rounded and seasoned Overnight Safety & Security Supervisor to join our team. Reporting to the Director of Security, you will manage and provide professional, courteous service to ensure the safety and security of all guests, members, associates, and visitors while safeguarding resort assets. You will oversee security officers, ensuring elevated performance, and continuously evaluate policies and procedures to align with the resort’s best interests.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct pre-shift briefings and delegate duties while ensuring proper compliance.
  • Select alternative courses of action quickly and accurately in dynamic situations.
  • Interact professionally with management, officers, and local authorities, providing constructive suggestions and confidently addressing inquiries.
  • Comply with all standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient resort operations.
  • Adhere to office policies set forth by security management.
  • Assist other resort areas as needed, provided security functions are not compromised.
  • Maintain continual surveillance of resort areas, bordering property, and CCTV systems.
  • Complete security activity logs, documenting all shift activity.
  • Respond to incidents in a timely manner and ensure accurate incident report completion.
  • Defuse threats or violence within the resort.
  • Inspect packages and purses of associates exiting via staff entrances or entering parking areas.
  • Maintain awareness of suspicious persons, escorting them off the property if warranted, and recording identification when necessary.
  • Conduct rounds throughout the resort, focusing on unsecure areas and documenting discrepancies.
  • Operate the resort’s computerized locking system.
  • Receive and process lost and found items according to established procedures.
  • Train new hires on company and department policies and procedures.
  • Perform other reasonable duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

  • Professional demeanor appropriate for a luxury environment.
  • Proven ability to handle multiple tasks in an ever-changing environment.
  • Strong analytical skills to make rapid, accurate decisions based on gathered information.
  • First Aid and CPR certifications preferred.
  • Knowledge of MS Shift, Key Watcher, and SALTO is a plus.
  • At least 1 year of progressive experience in a luxury resort or equivalent setting.
  • Able to communicate effectively in English; second language is a plus.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including holidays, weekends, and perform multiple tasks.
  • Experience using computers and software programs such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • High school diploma.
  • Ability to work in various weather conditions.
  • Ability to walk and stand for prolonged periods.
