Overnight Registered Nurse (RN)

About the role

Help provide individualized care to those in recovery from substance use addiction in the Western Massachusetts community. Join our team of competent and compassionate professionals as a Registered Nurse in the New View program at Behavioral Health Network!

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care within the scope of practice to implement patients’ plans of care properly.
• Monitor physical and psychiatric medication self-administration and residents’ health and milieu staff who oversee medication self-administration.
• Administer all detoxification medications in accordance with established protocols and orders.
• Provide individuals served with education regarding their illness, problems, treatment, and prognosis.
• Collect data related to individual served status and needs.
• Maintain strict confidentiality of individuals served information at all times in accordance with 42 CFR.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Nursing (required).
• Current Nursing License by the Massachusetts Board of Registration as a Registered Nurse (required).
• At least one year of nursing experience (preferred).

Qualifications

• Proficiency in applying the nursing process to individuals served and their families.
• Able to collaborate with other caregivers.
• Able to delegate to peers and other caregivers consistent with their level of expertise.
• Knowledge of utilization and review standards and implementation.
• Able to advocate for individuals served.
• Able to understand, empathize and work with an addicted population, including those with co-occurring disorders.
• Working knowledge of ethics and legal parameters of working with substance abuse individuals.
• Knowledge of quality assurance standards and CARF standards.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Effective problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

Benefits

• Earn competitive pay structure with full-time/ part-time options ranging from $40-$48/hr + applicable shift differentials.
• Full-time/Part-time schedules available, including a rotating 2-week schedule, varied days including every other weekend, 3:00pm-11:30pm or 11:00pm-7:30am.

• Full-Time: rotating 2-week schedule, varied days including every other weekend, 3:00pm-11:30pm or 11:00pm-7:30am.

Pay

• Full-Time/Part-Time: $40-$48/hr + applicable shift differentials.
