Overnight QA Supervisor
About the role
We are seeking a Quality Assurance Supervisor to lead our overnight QA team in a fast-paced, FDA-regulated manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for overseeing Quality Assurance personnel, ensuring compliance with cGMP and company quality standards, supporting manufacturing operations, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Supervise, coach, and develop Quality Assurance personnel on 3rd shift.
- Provide QA oversight for manufacturing, packaging, and warehouse operations.
- Review batch records, production documentation, and quality records for accuracy and compliance.
- Lead investigations involving deviations, non-conformances, and quality events while driving effective CAPA implementation.
- Partner with Manufacturing, Quality Control, and cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues and improve processes.
- Ensure compliance with FDA regulations, cGMP requirements, SOPs, and company quality standards.
- Support internal audits, regulatory inspections, and inspection readiness activities.
- Train employees on GMP requirements, quality systems, and standard operating procedures.
- Monitor quality metrics and champion continuous improvement initiatives throughout the department.
Requirements
- Aceess to a college degree in a science-related field preferred.
- 4–5+ years of experience in an FDA-regulated manufacturing or production environment.
- At least 3 years of Quality Assurance experience.
- Experience with:
- FDA and cGMP regulations
- SOPs
- Batch record review
- Deviations and non-conformances
- ISO standards
- Lever Manufacturing principles
- Dietary supplement manufacturing (preferred)
- Proven leadership experience managing teams, including:
- Coaching and mentoring employees
- Holding team members accountable
- Managing difficult conversations
- Conflict resolution
- Ensuring policy compliance
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Passion for continuous improvement and driving positive change within Quality Operations.
