Overnight QA Supervisor

About the role

We are seeking a Quality Assurance Supervisor to lead our overnight QA team in a fast-paced, FDA-regulated manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for overseeing Quality Assurance personnel, ensuring compliance with cGMP and company quality standards, supporting manufacturing operations, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise, coach, and develop Quality Assurance personnel on 3rd shift.
  • Provide QA oversight for manufacturing, packaging, and warehouse operations.
  • Review batch records, production documentation, and quality records for accuracy and compliance.
  • Lead investigations involving deviations, non-conformances, and quality events while driving effective CAPA implementation.
  • Partner with Manufacturing, Quality Control, and cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues and improve processes.
  • Ensure compliance with FDA regulations, cGMP requirements, SOPs, and company quality standards.
  • Support internal audits, regulatory inspections, and inspection readiness activities.
  • Train employees on GMP requirements, quality systems, and standard operating procedures.
  • Monitor quality metrics and champion continuous improvement initiatives throughout the department.

Requirements

  • Aceess to a college degree in a science-related field preferred.
  • 4–5+ years of experience in an FDA-regulated manufacturing or production environment.
  • At least 3 years of Quality Assurance experience.
  • Experience with:
    • FDA and cGMP regulations
    • SOPs
    • Batch record review
    • Deviations and non-conformances
    • ISO standards
    • Lever Manufacturing principles
    • Dietary supplement manufacturing (preferred)
  • Proven leadership experience managing teams, including:
    • Coaching and mentoring employees
    • Holding team members accountable
    • Managing difficult conversations
    • Conflict resolution
    • Ensuring policy compliance
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Passion for continuous improvement and driving positive change within Quality Operations.
