About the Role
The Operations Associate assists the Overnight Operations Manager with all aspects of daily material handling in a retail branch location. This role achieves operational goals through effective receiving, stocking, and presentation strategies that align with sales, merchandising, order fulfillment, and inventory teams.
Responsibilities
- Execute efficient receiving and put-away of incoming stock using pallet jacks, carts, and/or powered equipment.
- Ensure a high level of organization and neatness while completing daily restocking tasks.
- Communicate effectively with the Overnight Operations Manager to sufficiently stock products in correct merchandising locations.
- Address any operational issues with the Overnight Operations Manager.
- Rotate stock (FIFO) and pull damaged and expired products as needed.
- Perform additional tasks and support initiatives as assigned by management to ensure smooth location operations and alignment with overall business goals.
- Maintain the overall cleanliness of the store.
Physical Requirements
- Work is performed while standing and/or walking, up to and including 9 hours/day.
- Requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision, and hearing.
- Requires the regular use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations.
- Requires regular bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, and reaching.
- Requires the ability to regularly lift, carry, push, or pull medium weights, up to 50 lbs.
Experience
- Demonstrated knowledge of our business model and a strong work ethic.
- Basic customer service skills and ability to function well with coworkers.
- Strong verbal communication skills and ability to think critically.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Education
This role does not require a degree. We value relevant skills and experience and alignment with our core values above all else.
Work Environment
- Occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and vehicles.
- Occasional exposure to marked changes in temperature and humidity, and exposure to dust, fumes, and gases.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate.
- The passage of employees through the work area is average and normal.
