Overnight Nurse (Weekdays & Weekends)
About the role
We are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for overnight shifts at a healthcare facility. This role offers an opportunity to provide critical patient care in a dynamic setting, with an emphasis on psychiatric and detox services, requiring compassionate and professional nursing expertise.
Responsibilities
- Assessing patient health and administering nursing care
- Maintaining medical records, implementing care plans, and advising on health maintenance
- Monitoring vitals, overseeing medication administration, and responding to medical emergencies
- Managing medication orders, documentation, and client admissions/discharges
- Updating service plans and educating clients on treatments and medications
- Assisting with detoxification processes and ensuring compliance with regulations
Requirements
Ability to sit, stand, walk, lift up to 20 pounds, and operate in a clinical environment. Comfortable working in various weather conditions and driving as needed.
Qualifications
Current, unrestricted Colorado nursing license (RN or LPN). Diploma or degree in nursing with 2+ years of clinical experience preferred. Experience in psychiatric or substance abuse settings preferred. Required BLS certification.
Skills
Strong interpersonal, communication, and ethical skills. Proficiency in charting, documentation, and learning new systems quickly. Ability to maintain confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
