Overnight Member Services Representative

Join our team as an Overnight Closer (Member Services Representative) and deliver an exceptional “Judgement Free” experience to Planet Fitness members, prospective members, and guests.

Responsibilities

• Customer Service/Front Desk Activities
  • Greet members and guests, providing exceptional customer service to make them feel comfortable and welcomed.
  • Answer phones in a friendly manner and assist callers with a variety of questions.
  • Check members in, conduct club tours, sign up new members, log amenities, and communicate updates and events.
  • Respond to member questions and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Process beverage or merchandise purchases using the point of sale system.
  • Close the shift for the business day and prepare bank deposits for the following day.
• Member Accounts
  • Utilize the POS system to assist with new membership cards, address changes, and billing or payment questions.
• Club Cleanliness and Maintenance
  • Maintain a clean and orderly front desk area and lobby.
  • Perform regular facility cleaning and upkeep, including mopping spills, trash removal, cleaning windows and mirrors, and re-racking weights.
  • Clean all exercise equipment and tanning beds.
  • Clean and stock restrooms and wet areas.

Requirements

• Customer service background preferred.
• Must be able to work overnight hours (10:00pm to 6:00am).
• Basic computer proficiency.
• Passion for fitness and health.
• Upbeat and positive attitude.
• Punctuality and reliability are a must.
• Exceptional customer service skills; able to interact positively and professionally with members and co-workers.
• Strong listener with the ability to empathize and problem solve.
• Demonstrate diplomacy in all interactions while using appropriate behavior and language.
• High School diploma/GED equivalent required.

Physical Demands

• Continual standing and walking during shift.
• Continual talking in person or on the phone during shift.
• Must be able to occasionally lift up to 75 lbs.
• Will occasionally encounter toxic chemicals during shift.
