The Inn's nearby 8-acre Chatham Bars Inn Farm supplies fresh produce and hosts popular farm-to-table dinners weekly. Known for its culinary program, the resort features six dining options showcasing local ingredients and innovative flavors.

Responsibilities

  • Auditing daily guest ledgers and handling front office operations, night audit, and hotel safety/security
  • Managing and monitoring front office activities, ensuring adherence to standards and policies
  • Providing leadership and support to all front office staff, coaching, training, and correcting as needed
  • Maintaining a professional and high-quality service-oriented environment
  • Acting as Manager-on-Duty for the hotel, assisting guests, solving problems, and managing special requests and disturbances
  • Running various reports for the accounting department
  • Completing and inputting accurate night audit reports
  • Managing the night shift, coordinating front office activities with other departments, and informing overnight staff of nightly activities
  • Ensuring compliance with Chatham Bars Inn standards, including Forbes, Leading Quality Assurance, and AAA policies and procedures
  • Ensuring all employees perform assigned tasks and follow hotel policies and procedures
  • Ensuring proper understanding and enforcement of fire, life, and safety procedures
  • Working closely with resort departments and performing any reasonable duties as required

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year management experience
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Previous night auditor experience preferred
  • Superior customer service skills
  • Demonstrated leadership skills
  • Ability to understand and carry out instructions
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Experience in Opera systems preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and organization
  • Basic math and accounting skills
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to work overnight hours, weekends, and holidays

Compensation

$30.00/hr

Actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years & depth of experience, certifications, and specific office location. This may differ in other locations due to cost of labor considerations.
