Overnight Maintenance Electrician (B Shift)

About the Role

Sika is looking for an experienced Maintenance Electrician to join its growing team in the Canton, MA area for our Roofing business. The Maintenance Electrician will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain all types of machinery within buildings, whether mechanical, electrical, or PLC controlled. This role plays a key role in performing preventative maintenance.

Schedule

B-Shift: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and every other Wednesday, 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM.

Pay

Salary range includes a base rate with a 20% shift differential, based on education, experience, and qualifications of the applicant.

Responsibilities

• Run EMT, Rigid conduit, threading, and bending EMT from 1/2" to 2" (kicks, saddles, 90’s, offsets, etc.).
• Repair, install, replace, and test electrical circuits and equipment.
• Diagnose malfunctioning systems and components using test equipment such as Voltmeter, Ohmmeter, and Megohmmeter.
• Troubleshoot PLC-controlled equipment.
• Work with AC Motor Controls, DC Motors and Controls, Variable Frequency Drives, Pneumatic, and Hydraulic Controls from wiring diagrams and schematic drawings.
• Work independently and professionally to complete tasks in a timely and thorough manner, including work orders and maintenance log books.
• Perform all duties while maintaining high quality and prioritizing Environment, Health, and Safety.

Requirements

• High School Degree.
• Licensed journeyman electrician in the state of Massachusetts.
• 5 years of industrial or manufacturing-related work experience.
• Computer skills (Word, Excel, Email).
• Understanding of PLC-controlled production lines.
