Overnight LVN / LPT On-Call

The Valley Star Crisis Walk-In Center (CWIC) is a voluntary, unlocked 24/7 facility in Victorville, CA serving all age groups needing immediate crisis mental health services, with stays up to 23 hours, providing rapid assessment, crisis intervention, stabilization, and transition support.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct client care, including medication administration.
• Supervise nursing activities of unit staff.
• Order, prepare, and document medications according to physician orders.
• Confirm pharmacy deliveries.
• Communicate important information to the team.
• Write weekly client summaries as assigned.
• Maintain accurate nursing documentation throughout the shift.
• Perform other related duties as needed.

Requirements

• Active, valid California Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) or Licensed Psychiatric Technician (LPT) license.
• Graduation from an accredited school of licensed vocational nursing or psychiatric technology.
• Associate degree preferred.
• Minimum of one (1) year of experience with medication administration (required).
• One (1) year of experience treating individuals with mental illness in an inpatient setting (preferred).
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Current CPR certification.
• First Aid certification from an approved provider (e.g., American Red Cross).

Pay

Starting compensation: $30.00 – $35.00 USD per hour.

Schedule

Working hours/shift: Friday – Saturday, 11:00 PM – 7:30 AM.
