About the role

Full-time employment opportunity as a Lift Operator. Reports to the shipping office at the beginning of each shift for daily assignments.

Responsibilities

• Inspect assigned lift and complete vehicle inspection sheet.
• Replenish pick slots using the view request screen; if no requests exist, use the manual replenish screen to fill empty or almost empty slots.
• Maintain correct counts and log any discrepancies in inventory.
• Verify that the correct product is placed in the appropriate pick location.
• Remove all empty pallets from pick locations and aisles.
• Separate good, bad, and blue pallets and neatly stage them in the pallet staging area.
• Operate the lift in a safe and efficient manner; park and recharge lift in its designated spot at the end of the shift.
• Understand procedures in other warehouse areas for a global understanding of all processes.

Requirements

• Ability to apply common sense to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions and handle ordinary, standardized situations.
• Basic math skills: adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing two-digit numbers; arithmetic operations with money; and operations with units such as inch, foot, yard, ounce, and pound.
• Good judgment, as immediate supervision may not always be available.

Pay

UNFI anticipates paying the above-referenced pay rate (or within the above-referenced pay range) for this position. Actual pay will depend on factors including education, experience, training, and requirements under applicable collective bargaining agreements.
