Overnight Crew Member

About the role

The Overnight Closer (Member Services Representative) creates a positive member experience by providing superior customer service to Planet Fitness members, prospective members, and guests. This role also closes the day’s shift and prepares an accurate bank deposit.

Responsibilities

• Greet members, prospective members, and guests with exceptional customer service.
• Handle all front-desk activities, including:
  • Answer phones in a friendly manner and assist callers with questions.
  • Check members into the system.
  • Process new member sign-ups.
  • Conduct tours for prospective members.
  • Facilitate updates to member accounts.
• Respond to member questions and concerns in a timely, professional manner; escalate to Assistant Manager or Manager as needed.
• Assist in maintaining the neatness and cleanliness of the club.
• Close the shift for the business day and create a bank deposit for the next day.

Requirements

• Customer service background preferred.
• Basic computer proficiency.
• Passion for fitness and health.
• Upbeat and positive attitude.
• Punctuality and reliability.
• Exceptional customer service skills; ability to interact positively and professionally with members and co-workers.
• Strong listening skills with the ability to empathize and problem-solve.
• Demonstrate diplomacy in all interactions while using appropriate behavior and language.
• High School diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.

Physical Demands

• Continual standing and walking during shift.
• Continual talking in person or on the phone during shift.
• Ability to work 3rd shift (overnights).
• Must occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
• Occasional exposure to toxic chemicals during shift.
