Overnight Cook

About the role

The Overnight Cook plays a vital role in keeping our kitchen running seamlessly around the clock. In this role, you’ll bring energy and precision to late-night and early-morning operations, preparing high-quality dishes, supporting ongoing service, and ensuring every plate meets our standards of excellence.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook menu items according to standardized recipes and production needs
• Set up stock and break down assigned cooking stations for overnight service
• Complete overnight prep tasks including proteins, vegetables, sauces, and batch items for upcoming shifts
• Maintain proper food handling sanitation and storage practices at all times
• Monitor food quality, temperature, and presentation during overnight service
• Clean and sanitize workstations, equipment, and kitchen areas throughout the shift
• Follow all health department safety and company policies
• Communicate effectively with supervisors regarding inventory shortages, equipment issues, and overnight needs
• Support morning transition by ensuring stations are organized, labeled, and ready for opening staff

Requirements

• Previous experience as a cook or line cook preferred
• Knowledge of basic cooking techniques, knife skills, and food safety standards
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
• Reliable punctuality and ability to maintain focus during overnight shifts
• The ability to stand/walk up to 8 hours per shift
• Valid Maricopa County food handler's card

• Full Time
• Shift Time: 10:00pm - 6:30am
• Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
