About the Role

As the Overnight Cleaner, you will ensure the overall cleanliness and sanitation of all facility areas to provide an outstanding member experience. Cleanliness is critical to the Planet Fitness brand and the safety of our team and members.

Responsibilities

• Thoroughly clean and sanitize all common areas (restrooms, locker rooms, fitness equipment, Black Card Spa) according to Planet Fitness cleaning standards
• Vacuum floor surfaces and operate the floor scrubber machine on an established schedule
• Properly dispose of trash and maintain trash cans/cleaning centers
• Replenish supplies and paper products as needed; communicate inventory needs to the Club Manager
• Clean/dust high items (ceiling fans, TVs, rafters)
• Report broken or missing amenities or equipment (toilets, faucets, showers, hair dryers, gym equipment) to the Club Manager
• Operate washing machine and dryer
• Maintain cleaning equipment (clean mop buckets, empty vacuum bags)

Daily responsibilities may also include:

• Greeting members/guests and assisting with questions or concerns during check-in
• Answering phones in a friendly manner and assisting callers with inquiries
• Executing retail transactions accurately and driving sales goals
• Resolving member concerns and escalating to a Manager as needed
• Performing comprehensive club walkthroughs to address safety, policy, and cleanliness issues

Requirements

• Ability to work the overnight shift
• Cleaning and sanitizing experience preferred
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Willing to become CPR/AED Certified (training provided)
• Basic computer proficiency

Physical Demands

• Continual standing and moving throughout the club during shift
• Continual communication in person or on the phone
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
• Exposure to toxic chemicals during shift
• Frequent cleaning and sanitizing of equipment and facilities
• Moving in different positions, including bending and twisting, to accomplish tasks

Pay

The hourly pay range for this position is $16.50 to $17.50.
