About the role

The Overnight Cleaner position at Planet Fitness involves ensuring the cleanliness and sanitation of all areas of the facility to provide an outstanding member experience. Key responsibilities include:

• Covering common areas such as restrooms, locker rooms, fitness equipment, and the Black Card Spa.

• Communicating inventory needs to the Club Manager.
• Cleaning high-off-the-ground items and reporting broken or missing amenities.
• Operating washing machines and dryers.
• Maintaining cleaning equipment daily.
• Greeting members/guests and assisting with inquiries.
• Answering phones and executing retail transactions.
• Performing a comprehensive walk-through of the club area and addressing safety/policy issues.

Responsibilities

As the Overnight Cleaner, you will be responsible for:

• Cleaning and sanitizing all common areas according to Planet Fitness standards.
• Vacuuming floor surfaces and operating the floor scrubber machine.
• Maintaining trash cans and replenishing supplies.
• Communicating inventory needs to the Club Manager.
• Cleaning/dusting items high off the ground.
• Reporting any broken or missing amenities or equipment to the Club Manager.
• Operating washing machines and dryers.
• Maintaining cleaning equipment daily.
• Greeting members/guests as they enter and exit the club.
• Assisting them with any questions or concerns.
• Answering phones in a friendly manner and assisting callers with their inquiries.
• Executing retail transactions with accuracy and driving sales goals.
• Resolving member concerns and escalating to a Manager as needed.
• Frequently performing a comprehensive walk-through of the club area.
• Quickly fixing any safety/policy issues and addressing cleanliness concerns.
