Overnight Cleaner

About the role

The Overnight Cleaner position at Planet Fitness involves ensuring the cleanliness and sanitation of all areas of the facility to provide an outstanding member experience. Key responsibilities include:

• Covering common areas such as restrooms, locker rooms, and fitness equipment.
• Vacuuming floor surfaces and operating the floor scrubber machine.
• Maintaining trash cans and replenishing supplies.
• Communicating inventory needs to the Club Manager.
• Cleaning and dusting items high off the ground.
• Reporting any broken or missing amenities or equipment.
• Operating washing machines and dryers.
• Maintaining cleaning equipment daily.

Responsibilities

As the Overnight Cleaner, you will be responsible for:

• Cleaning and sanitizing all common areas according to Planet Fitness standards.
• Vacuuming floor surfaces and operating the floor scrubber machine.
• Disposing of trash and maintaining trash cans/cleaning centers.
• Replenishing supplies and paper products as needed.
• Communicating inventory needs to the Club Manager.
• Cleaning/dusting items high off the ground.
• Reporting any broken or missing amenities or equipment.
• Operating washing machine and dryer.
• Maintaining cleaning equipment daily.
• Greeting members/guests as they enter and exit the club.
• Assisting them with any questions or concerns.
• Answering phones in a friendly manner and assisting callers with their inquiries.
• Executing retail transactions with accuracy and driving sales goals.
• Resolving member concerns and escalating to a Manager as needed.
• Frequently performing a comprehensive walk of all club areas.
• Quickly fixing any safety/policy issues and addressing cleanliness concerns.

Requirements

• Ability to work the overnight shift.
• Cleaning and sanitizing experience is preferred.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Willing to become CPR/AED Certified (Training provided by Planet Fitness).
• Basic computer proficiency.

Qualifications

• Physical demands include continual standing and moving, continual communicating, lifting up to 75 pounds, encountering toxic chemicals, frequent cleaning and sanitizing, moving in different positions, bending, and twisting.
