Position Summary
Lee’s Marketplace is a family-owned grocery chain dedicated to providing a delightful shopping experience for guests. The Overnight Production Baker plays a crucial role in producing scratch-made baked goods daily, ensuring freshness and quality.
Primary Position Duties
Prepare and bake bread, rolls, pastries, and other baked goods according to recipes and formulas.
Mix, cook, and package products accurately to maintain consistent quality and taste.
Adjust production runs based on demand forecasts to meet customer needs.
Stock shelves with fresh products by store opening, prioritizing tasks efficiently.
Maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized workspace, following food safety guidelines.
Monitor product freshness, temperature, and expiration dates.
Handle and label products correctly, minimizing waste and adhering to food safety regulations.
Communicate with guests and team members professionally and courteously.
Collaborate with team members to achieve store goals and promote a positive work environment.
Physical Requirements
Stand, walk, twist, sit, and bend for extended periods.
Lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.
Use manual dexterity for handling small objects and operating equipment.
Perform repetitive tasks involving hands and arms.
Occasionally stoop, crouch, kneel, or crawl.
Access and navigate all areas of the production area.
Occasionally use and climb step stools or ladders.
Education and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum 1 year of baking or commercial bakery experience preferred.
Working knowledge of commercial baking equipment or willingness to learn.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes and procedures accurately.
Ability to work independently and in a team setting during overnight hours.
Food Handler’s Permit (or ability to obtain one).
