ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare, bake, decorate and finish a variety of doughs, pastries and specialty desserts.
- Operate ovens and baking equipment to bake products to specifications, adjusting temperatures and times as necessary.
- Create visually appealing desserts by decorating them with frostings, creams, and other edible items such as chocolate.
- Maintain high standards of product quality and cleanliness in a fast-paced environment.
- Monitor and ensure the quality and consistency of baked goods, making adjustments to recipes or processes as needed.
- Track and manage inventory of ingredients and supplies, ordering and restocking as needed to maintain production levels.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including regular cleaning of baking equipment and adherence to health and safety regulations.
- Packaging finished products appropriately for sale or distribution, ensuring presentation meets company standards.
- Document ingredient usage, inventory levels, and any issues or adjustments made during the baking process.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ Years of Baking/Pastry Industry Experience
- Preferred Pastry/Culinary Certificate, Diploma or Degree
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
- Proven experience as a baker, preferably in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of baking techniques and equipment
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Physical stamina to handle long hours and perform manual tasks
- Ability to work effectively during nighttime hours, starting in the evening and finishing early in the morning
- Food Safe Handling Certified
COMPENSATION
$24 - $27/hr. commensurate with Experience and Educational Background
