What You’ll Do
- Prepare a variety of baked items, including pastries, breads, cakes, tarts, and cookies, according to established recipes
- Mix dough, shape bread loaves and rolls, and prep ingredients for next-day production
- Decorate cakes, pastries, and platters, including adding fillings and finishing touches
- Maintain a clean, organized bakery station and follow all food safety and procedures
- Monitor inventory of supplies and ingredients, placing orders as needed to ensure smooth operations
- Ensure freshness, consistency, and high-quality presentation of all baked goods
- Package and store baked items properly while collaborating with the Executive Chef and kitchen team as needed
Qualifications
- 2+ years of high-volume baking experience in restaurants, hotels, or similar hospitality settings
- Strong knowledge of scratch baking methods, techniques, and specialty ingredients
- Exceptional attention to detail, pride in your work, and commitment to quality
- Excellent sanitation, organizational, and time-management skills
- Physical ability to lift up to 30 lbs. repeatedly and work overnight shifts reliably with minimal supervision
- Culinary degree or formal training preferred but not required
