Duties And Responsibilities
- Keep the air filters rotated as needed.
- Operate the dryer effectively and efficiently.
- Keep the oven clean and clear of skins, hearts, and other debris.
- Keep the oiler filled on the chain and working properly.
- Maintain clean work areas or when appropriate.
- While performing these duties the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or fell; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk or hear; and taste or smell.
- Ensure that all equipment is maintained, working, and used properly.
- All employees are solely responsible for the Quality of Olam Edible Nuts products. Each employee must perform their job function in accordance with the GMP Rules and the Sanitation, Safety and Food Safety Programs.
- Must follow safe work practices and comply with all company, federal and state rules and regulations which apply to job, including but not limited to, right to Know, emergency evacuation, electrical safety, confined space, blood borne pathogens, and lockout/tagout.
- Execute special projects and other job-related activities as directed.
Sanitation Responsibilities
- Keep the oven room in a clean, neat, and organized manner.
- Keep all areas assigned to you on the sanitation schedule maintained.
Position Requirements
- High School or Ged is preferred.
- Zero to Five years’ experience is preferred.
- This role is performed on site at a facility that regularly processes peanuts.
- Employees in this position will routinely work in areas where peanuts and related allergens are present and may be exposed by contact or in the air.
