We help business owners focus on their passion while maintaining full knowledge of their financial standing and performance. Our services are tailored to each business’s unique needs based on their stage in the business lifecycle, serving clients from large organizations that prefer not to staff and manage an accounting department to smaller entities or startups needing a 360-degree approach to direction and support.

Withum is seeking accounting majors graduating in the upcoming school year to start with our November 2027 class.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Senior Associates, Managers, and group Partners to support and balance multiple client needs.
• Manage bill payments, invoicing, and cash receipt applications for clients in a timely fashion.
• Perform bank and general ledger account reconciliations; investigate and resolve reconciling items.
• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes for clients.
• Run payroll and reconcile related journal entries.
• Assist with setup and implementation of new accounting systems and procedures based on client needs.
• Assist with various ad hoc accounting and reporting projects, both client-facing and internal.
• Communicate effectively and clearly with clients and coworkers across various channels.

Requirements

• Graduating college student pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in accounting.
• GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• Excellent interpersonal and computer skills.
• Extensive experience with QuickBooks Online, Bill.com, Expensify, Gusto, Justworks, Xero, and Excel.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and project management skills.
• Ability to work well on a team.
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
• Flexible and adaptable attitude toward new situations, including learning new software.

Pay

For positions in Washington, the compensation for this role ranges from $70,000 to $76,000. Final offer amounts are based on multiple factors such as the specific role, hiring location, as well as the individual’s skills, experience, and qualifications. In addition to the base compensation, Withum offers a competitive benefits package and bonus program (for eligible roles) based on individual and firm performance.
