Responsibilities

  • Prioritize safety in all responsibilities.
  • Conduct yourself with professionalism and integrity with customers and coworkers.
  • Serve as an empathetic problem solver, using in-depth training to recommend the best pest solutions for each customer’s needs.
  • Achieve sales goals through prospecting new business and assigned leads (supported by a robust advertising budget).
  • Schedule and conduct in-home sales appointments to explain Orkin’s products and services.
  • Perform 360 inspections of customers’ homes (interior and exterior) and make recommendations based on findings.
  • Address customer questions, explain processes, and set expectations.
  • Use a provided iPad to prepare sales agreements and stay organized (training included).

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • No prior experience required.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • Ability to obtain required pesticide license/certification (company paid).
  • Ability to work independently in the field and interact with clients.

Work Environment

  • Must meet physical job requirements, including safely using a ladder within manufacturer’s weight capacity.
  • Occasionally lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Safely access crawl spaces, attics, confined spaces, rooftops, and other areas requiring climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
  • Wear personal protective equipment (PPE), including an OSHA-compliant respirator when required.
  • Willingness to work in various weather conditions.

Pay

  • Competitive earnings from $60,000 to $100,000 per year (base salary plus commission after training).
  • During the initial 90-day training period, compensation is $28.85 per hour.
  • Company vehicle with gas card provided upon route assignment.
