Outside Sales Representative - Temporary Containment Wall
About the role
The Outside Sales Representative develops and maximizes the Temporary Containment Wall (TCW) market share in all sectors within their assigned territory or region. This role is responsible for generating profitable business in healthcare construction/isolation, infection control, and related fields. Responsibilities include developing the assigned territory, implementing sales plans to grow business and maintain the current customer base, and helping to build the national Sunbelt branding identity.
Responsibilities
- Embrace and promote Sunbelt’s safety culture
- Develop and execute territory sales plans to expand the existing customer base and develop new customers within the assigned territory and market segments to “grow the business”
- Solicit business by calling on regular and prospective customers via phone or traveling throughout the assigned territory for planned visits or cold calls
- Provide technical sales and application solutions for customers
- Prepare detailed proposals to solicit orders, close deals, and win business
- Coordinate project specs with internal operational team members to ensure objectives are accomplished according to customer timelines and requirements
- Monitor market data such as competitor products, sales, and marketing activities within the assigned territory
- Maintain CRM database daily through consistent entry of sales calls and job site details
- Develop and achieve the Annual Territory Sales Plan in concert with management, setting KPIs, revenue, and market growth targets
- Learn all technical aspects of equipment, function, and appropriate applications
- Provide technical training to customers relating to use, operation, and maintenance of equipment
- Assist with all aspects of the business to ensure customer success, including product demos, delivery, and routine diagnostics
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers during planning, troubleshooting, and completion throughout the lifespan of TCW projects
- Develop and manage relationships with local, regional, and national sellers in general tool and specialty divisions
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent work experience plus 2+ years of direct experience in construction-related sales
- Proven track record in consultative selling
- Strong construction background with the ability to learn engineering concepts
- Working knowledge of Infection Control Risk Assessment (ICRA) standards is a plus
- Self-starter with excellent communication skills, highly motivated, and results-driven
- Ability to problem-solve and think outside the box to determine solutions
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to handle multiple opportunities and clients concurrently
- Ability to work effectively and meet sales objectives without detailed day-to-day direction
- Strong project management, new business development, and customer retention skills
- Potential for up to 50% travel dependent on territory assigned
Pay
Base pay range: $40,000.00 - $62,965.00. Total compensation package includes base pay, a company vehicle, and a robust commission plan. Starting rate of pay may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, position offered, location, education, training, and/or experience.
