SemiTorr Group, Inc. is a leading sales and distribution company for gas and fluid handling systems and components supporting the High Purity, Sanitary, and Industrial markets. Our family of products includes process equipment, pumps, tubing, hoses, fittings, valves, filtration, and instrumentation. SemiTorr is a subsidiary of FloWorks USA LP, a privately held company located in Houston, Texas.
About the role
The primary duty of this role is making sales and obtaining orders through regular in-person customer engagement away from FloWorks facilities. The Outside Sales Representative promotes and sells FloWorks services to meet sales targets and generate revenue, responds to customer needs with appropriate services, and maintains a high level of customer service with existing customers while expanding business through relationships. The role involves developing relationships with new clients, prospecting, and responding to business development leads.
Responsibilities
- Conducts on-site customer visits with new and existing customers.
- Manages sales volume with an existing group of customers and prospects successfully to expand the customer base.
- Forecasts, prospects, and bids for new business, including customers, markets, and additional service opportunities.
- Maintains existing and builds new customer partnerships.
- Develops and sustains sales relationships with key decision makers and influencers at all levels of an organization.
- Shares market and competitor information with all applicable channels within the organization; establishes relationships and working partnerships.
- Partners with customers, vendors, Credit, and A/R to quickly resolve customer service issues.
- Identifies customer product needs and coordinates execution of orders.
- May conduct negotiations with suppliers, vendors, and manufacturers.
- Assists in training or mentoring of associates.
Role-Specific Technical Addendum
This section applies to Outside Sales roles supporting specialized technical markets such as Semiconductor, Cleanroom, or Advanced Manufacturing environments.
- Manage assigned sales territory supporting semiconductor fabrication facilities and related technical customers.
- Conduct on-site customer visits within cleanroom and controlled manufacturing environments, as required.
- Call on equipment engineers, process engineers, and technical decision makers to promote FloWorks products and engineered solutions.
- Develop and maintain a working knowledge of customer manufacturing processes, equipment, and operational requirements.
- Apply technical understanding of customer environments to identify product and service opportunities aligned with FloWorks offerings.
- Maintain accurate opportunity, project, and pipeline tracking within CRM systems for complex or extended sales cycles.
Requirements
- Point of sales (POS) system or consultative selling/solution selling experience is required.
- Knowledge of customer business needs.
- Knowledge of FloWorks product line and core customers.
- Typically requires a BS/BA in a related discipline. Generally, 2-5 years of experience in a related field; certification is required in some areas.
- OR MS/MA and generally 2-4 years of experience in a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience selling into technical or manufacturing environments.
- Semiconductor, cleanroom, or advanced manufacturing sales experience (when applicable).
- Experience selling engineered solutions, capital equipment, or complex industrial products.
Physical Demands
- Frequently required to stand and walk.

- Occasionally balance, bend, stoop, kneel, or crawl.
- Continually required to talk or hear.
- Continually utilize visual acuity to read technical information and/or use a keyboard.
- Occasionally required to lift/push/carry items up to 25 pounds.
- Occasionally work near moving mechanical parts.
- Occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions.
- Occasionally exposed to loud noise (e.g., shop tool noises, electric motors, moving mechanical equipment).
Work Environment
This role operates in a professional office environment with flexibility for hybrid work. Standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and printers are used. Occasional visits to warehouses or operational sites may be required.
