Responsibilities

  • Develop new business opportunities throughout the assigned territory
  • Possess strong prospecting and networking skills
  • Generate qualified leads through various methods
  • Maintain and expand relationships with existing customers
  • Achieve established sales goals and revenue targets
  • Meet with prospective and existing customers both in person and virtually
  • Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate Blacklidge products and solutions
  • Prepare pricing, proposals, quotations, and sales agreements
  • Negotiate contracts while maintaining company pricing and profitability objectives
  • Provide exceptional customer service before, during, and after each sale
  • Conduct field demonstrations and product applications for prospective customers
  • Communicate customer feedback to internal teams to support product development and continuous improvement
  • Manage sales pipeline and provide regular forecasting updates
  • Prepare weekly activity reports and participate in sales meetings
  • Collaborate with Marketing on promotional initiatives and lead generation campaigns
  • Monitor market trends, competitive activity, and customer opportunities
  • Represent Blacklidge professionally at customer meetings, industry events, and trade shows
  • Maintain a positive, team-oriented attitude while supporting company objectives

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Construction Management, or related field preferred
  • Minimum of five (5) years of outside B2B sales experience
  • Previous experience selling construction materials, asphalt products, aggregates, concrete, or related products preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to generate leads, develop relationships, and close sales
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and negotiation skills
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience using virtual meeting platforms such as Microsoft Teams or Zoom
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
  • Ability to travel throughout the assigned territory
