Responsibilities

  • Travel throughout the assigned geographical territory (including overnight 1-2 nights/week) calling on existing and prospective customers, soliciting/enriching buying relationships, and increasing territory purchase volume.
  • Promote products and services through consultative selling techniques while pursuing a strengthened understanding of customer business practices.
  • Manage profitability through negotiation of trade discounts based on purchase volume and other factors in compliance with predetermined trade discount guidelines.
  • Prepare required reports on customer, marketplace, and competitor data to make internal departments aware of product and service needs.

Requirements

  • College degree
  • 3+ years of successful field sales experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Goal-driven
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills
  • Proficient with MS Office software
