Position Summary

The Outside Sales Representative – East Coast Territory is responsible for driving revenue growth, market expansion, and client development across assigned East Coast markets. This role focuses on building strategic relationships with distributors, contractors, builders, and key industry partners while proactively identifying new business opportunities to expand WhisperKool’s market presence. This individual will serve as the primary territory owner, developing and executing regional sales strategies, strengthening customer loyalty, and ensuring long-term client success through consultative selling and exceptional relationship management.

Territory Growth & Client Development

  • Own and actively manage the East Coast sales territory with a strong focus on new business development and market expansion
  • Identify, prospect, and secure new distributor partnerships, dealer relationships, and end-user opportunities
  • Develop and execute annual and quarterly territory growth plans aligned with company revenue targets
  • Expand WhisperKool’s brand presence by building strategic relationships with builders, designers, architects, and industry influencers
  • Increase market share by consistently developing new accounts while growing existing client relationships
  • Maintain consistent pipeline activity including prospecting calls, territory travel, client meetings, and networking events

Strategic Sales Execution

  • Forecast territory sales performance and provide regular updates on pipeline health, opportunities, and risks
  • Develop creative and strategic sales initiatives to penetrate competitive markets and drive product adoption
  • Analyze territory trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback to adjust sales strategy as needed
  • Meet and exceed individual revenue targets and contribute to overall regional sales performance

Relationship Management & Customer Success

  • Build long-term, trust-based relationships with customers through consultative selling and solution-focused engagement
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for key East Coast accounts
  • Conduct product presentations, training sessions, and demonstrations for distributors and partners
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by proactively addressing post-sale needs and coordinating issue resolution
  • Maintain ongoing communication with existing customers regarding new products, promotions, and enhancements

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner closely with Sales Support, Customer Service, Marketing, and Operations to ensure seamless customer experience
  • Provide market intelligence and customer insights to support product development and marketing initiatives
  • Participate in national sales meetings, industry trade shows, and training programs

Reporting & Territory Management

  • Maintain accurate CRM records including account activity, opportunities, forecasts, and customer interactions
  • Prepare regular territory performance reports using financial and statistical data
  • Manage travel schedules efficiently to maximize customer engagement and ROI

Education & Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field preferred
  • 3–7 years of Outside Sales experience with territory ownership preferred
  • Experience managing multi-state territories or regional accounts strongly preferred
  • Experience working with distributors, contractors, or B2B technical products is a plus

Language Skills

  • Able to effectively communicate verbally and in writing in English
  • Spanish bilingual ability is a strong plus

Computer Skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience using CRM systems for pipeline and territory management preferred

Travel Requirements

  • Ability to travel up to 70% within East Coast territory
  • Overnight travel and trade show attendance required

Physical Demands

  • Extended periods of driving and travel
  • Frequent standing, walking, reaching, and handling product materials
  • Regular use of computer and communication devices

Work Environment

  • Combination of field sales, customer locations, trade shows, and home office environment
  • Moderate to high noise levels depending on customer site visits
