Outside Sales Representative – Community Marketing Consultant

About the role

We're hiring an Outside Sales Representative (Community Marketing Consultant) to grow SwayCash across Knox County. You'll work face-to-face with local business owners, sign them up, and earn commission on the accounts you bring in. Most of your day is on the road and on your feet, not at a desk.

Responsibilities

• Travel across Knox County to visit local business owners — restaurants, retailers, salons, gyms, home services, and contractors
• Meet with owners and decision-makers, explain what SwayCash is and how it works, and show them how it can help their business grow
• Sign new customers and stay close to them after the sale
• Build a book of business across your territory

Requirements

• 1-3 years of sales experience, ideally in a role where you found your own customers
• Deep familiarity with Knox County — you know the towns, the businesses, and the people
• The kind of person small business owners want to do business with — real, trustworthy, easy to like
• Comfortable making cold approaches to business owners
• Self-directed, organized, and accountable for your week
• Coachable and a good teammate — open to feedback and easy to work with
• Energized by ambiguity and change — early-stage means moving targets sometimes, and the right person treats that as opportunity
• Reliable vehicle

Qualifications

• Strong year-1 performers earn meaningfully more in year two and beyond

• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to build relationships with business owners
• Knowledge of local business landscape

Pay

Year-1 on-target earnings (OTE): $55,000–$75,000
Base salary: $35,000–$45,000 based on experience
Commission on the revenue you bring in, paid monthly, uncapped
